Bio
Maya Vela joins the CSI team as the Assistant Director Student Involvement. She primarily oversees and advises undergraduate recognized student organizations and the 天美传媒 Club Council. Her responsibilities also include managing the New Club Registration and Annual Renewal processes.
Maya is originally from Texas, where she earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree in News and Media Studies from Texas Christian University. She then earned her master鈥檚 degree in Women鈥檚, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from George Washington University. She has experience working with student success programming, first-year experience, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
